Summit Avenue
|
|
Summit Avenue was the home of many of the city's business and civic leaders during St. Paul's Gilded Age. Extending nearly 5 miles along Summit Avenue, is the longest remaining stretch of residential Victorian architecture in the United States. This includes the 1891 mansion of James J. Hill, founder of the Great Northern Railroad, as well as the governor's mansion, currently occupied by Governor Jesse Ventura.

Surprise party

Today is Amy's birthday. Her friends planned to hold a surprise party for her. But they did not keep the secret successfully. Amy got to know and pick me up to her party. We pretended not to know about the party and showed the surprise  Ashley is one of Amy's best friends. She is so funny  We ate the birthday cake and hanged out. I felt that I became young

Jim and Ann picked us up and drove to como zoo today. I do not like zoo very much but it is nice to go out in the spring

Lacrosse
|
|
We watched the game with Amy's family and Holy's boyfriend and his mother. The game is very exciting. Minnsota swarm won the game in the last minute! Actually in the last 8 seconds! After the game, the umpires tested the cue of Minnesota team because the opponents thought we cheated. Finally we won! And during the game, Amy's father won a T-shirt of our team. Everyone of us got a ball. Because it is the last game, there are fireworks bafore the game. It is funny that the compere introduced our team members in high voice and with stirring music but introduced the opponents in low voice and with slack music. Another interesting thing is that all of the Lacrosse team members are amateurish. They have their own jobs. Every year they just come back to the game for about 3 or 4 months. So they play lacrosse not for money, just for fun!
